Hi! Have you ever heard of vegetable alternative to meat made from seitan flour and legume flour? It is a type of side dish very similar to what is a typical dish of traditional cuisine.
A typical ingredient of vegan cuisine, that is usually composed of lentil or pea flour, gluten powder, spices and natural sauces!
I often propose it during dinners with friends or family and I must say that it has always been much appreciated by all those who have tasted it.
But now come to the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of organic potatoes (not too ripe)
- 250 gr of vegetable alternative to meat
- Rosemary, to taste
- 2 or 3 bay leaves
- 5 tbsp of tamari sauce
- Salt, oil, garlic and paprika powder, to taste.

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 338 F (or 170 °C)
The preparation is really too easy!
First you have to wash the potatoes (without peeling them, because the skin is a layer of defense to protect the contents from the high cooking temperatures). Cut them into medium pieces and pour them into a large container.
Add the bay leaves and rosemary, a little oil, a pinch of salt and mix togheter.
Pour everything on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and bake for 20 min. Meanwhile, cut the “vegetable alternative to meat“ and when 20 minutes have elapsed, take the pan out of the oven and add it together with potatoes.
Add the spices in powder, tamari sauce, salt, a little more oil, stirring again and bake for another 20 minutes.
Serve hot in a pan with fresh rosemary and a pinch of pepper.
Enjoy!
