Lentil soup according to Natural Hygiene: how to prepare it

The secret of a good cooking is a light cooking with a low flame that keeps alive the colors and therefore also the nutrients contained inside. Obviously in order to make lentils chewable, the cooking time can increase a little … but not so much!

Let’s see the recipe:

AMOUNT FOR 2 PORTIONS:

Ingredients:

  • 165 gr of dried small lentils
  • 50 gr of celery
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce or 8 fresh little tomatoes
  • 1 medium / small carrot
  • 1 small fresh onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tuft of parsley (half for cooking and the other half raw on the serving dish)
  • salt, pepper and oil, as you need

To garnish:

DIRECTIONS:

Put plenty of water in the pot and pour the lentils inside. Bring on the stove and turn on a low flame by covering the pot for 3/4 with a lid. Allow the lentils to cook for at least 35 minutes.

Meanwhile, wash and clean the garlic, onion, celery, carrot and half a tuft of parsley.

When the 35 minutes of cooking for the lentils have passed, during which it may be necessary to add more water so that the lentils do not stick to the bottom of the pot, add all the other ingredients.

After another 10 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of oil, salt and continue to cook.

Pour the soup into the pot still hot (not too hot I recommend otherwise it will affect not only the mouth but also the stomach!) And add a little oil, a pinch of pepper and a little chopped parsley.
